The German Heinkel He 111 was the backbone of the Luftwaffe's bombing arm in World War II from the first attacks on Poland in 1939 continuing to the Battle Of Britain and then later to the attack on Russia.  While scheduled to be replaced later in the World War II by a more modern designed aircraft, circumstances deemed that it continue in service and showing its versatility was adapted to perform the role of torpedo bomber, guided bomb carrier, paratroop transport, glider tug and even provisional night fighter on the Eastern Front serving the Reich until the end. The He 111 H variant which is the subject of this kit, saw exstensive service during the Battle Of Britain and later on the Russian front.  This "Heinkel III" kit is quality engineered in three colors.  Authentic markings are included for the following three aircraft: 1) KG. 53 "Legion Condor", Luftwaffe 2, Lille, 1940; 2) KG. 51, "Edelweis Geschwader" Eastern Front, 1943 and 3) Grupal 5, Rumanian Corpul Aerian, Ukraine, March, 1943.  Also included in this kit is a multi-position display stand.  The box is in excellent condition.  Never started and factory sealed.
