The movie, His Girl Friday, follows the plot of the all-time hit play, "The Front Page".  This is an excellent, sophisticated comedy with touches of drama.  The plot centers on an ace reporter who is ready to quite jounalism in favor of leading a normal life.  The problem is that the editor wants her to stay.  In the film version of the play, the reporter is a women while the original play had that part played by a man.  An escaped murderer puts the reporter's desire to quite to the test.  The only question left is whether or not she will follow her reporters instinct or go through with her decision to quite?  Starring Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell among others.  Full screen in black and white.  Released in 1940.  Runtime 92 minutes.
