The development of the Hughes OH-6A Cayuse was based on Army specifications that called for a helicopter with low initial cost, low operating cost and exceptionally high performance.  This light attack and observation helicopter was intended to accompany ground forces into the battlefield which meant that it had to be very reliable and be able to sustain severe battle damage and keep flying.  The resulting Hughes OH-6A Cayuse has proved its versatility in the Vietnam War by being able to be used in search and destroy, inspection, scouting and other close quarters missions.  This older, out-of-production detailed model of the Hughes OH-6A Cayuse is molded in olive drab colored plastic and includes the followig features: 1) Clear plastic cockpit glass areas; 2) Detailed cockpit; 3) Detailed insrument panel; 4) Pilot figure and 5) XM 27E1 high rate machine gun kit with sight.  Note: the price of this model reflects the fact that it is missing the manufacturer's original decals and instructions.  The box is in excellent condition.   Never started and 100% complete except as otherwise noted with all parts inventoried.
