The British Hunter first flew on July 20th, 1951 and was developed as the replacement for the "Meteor" jet fighter.  The Hunter established a world speed record of 727.6 m.p.h. in 1953 and went on to provide the backbone of the R.A.F. fighter strength between 1955 and 1964.  After 1964, Hunter's continued to be used as fighter bombers well into the 1970s.  In addition to the R.A.F., various marks of Hunters have been exported to many other countries including Denmark, India, Iraq, Sweeden and Switzerland.  The Hunter is powered by a 10,000 lb. thrust Rolls Royce Avon 207 jet engine and can fly at 710 m.p.h. at sea level.  The Hunter is armed with four 30 mm cannon and can carry a variety of bombs and missiles in fixed hard-points under the wings.  This older, out-of-production Hunter T.Mk. 7 / Mk. F.6 model is molded in gray, green and olive drab color plastic and can be built as either the single seat fighter bomber or the side by aide two seat trainer variants.  Other features of this kit include the following: 1) Authentic markings for two aircraft: A) Hunter T.Mk. 7 R.A.F. No. 45 Squadron, Wittering March 1974 and B) Hunter Mk. F.6 R.A.F. No. 58 Squadron, Wittering April 1974; 2) External arment stores including an assortment of bombs and missiles; 3) Parts to build either the single seat fighter bomber or two seat trainer versions; 4) Recessed panel lines; 5) Two clear canopy options; 6) Two pilot figures; 7) Painting guide in color and 8) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in excellent condition but does have the remnants of original tape on both sides of the package. Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
