The book, Hurricane Walk Around (# 14) represents an inside and out pictorial review of the Royal Air Force's Hurricane fighter and fighter bomber variants along with the Royal Navy's Sea Hurricane.  At the outbreak of World War II, the Hawker Hurricane single seat, single engine, monoplane fighter was the airplane available in the greatest numbers to combat the German Luftwaffe.  While it's stable-mate the Supermarine Spitfire had superior performance, it was only available in modest numbers during the Battle of Britain.  As World War II progressed, the Spitfire stole the limelight while the venerable Hurricane soldiered on as a heavy fighter and fighter-bomber, as well as, a ship-based fighter and maritime patrol aircraft.  In addition to informative picture captions, "Hurricane Walk Around (# 14)" includes the following features: 1) Approximately 86 black and white photographs; 2) About 91 color photographs; 3) Approximately 37 color illustrations; 4) 1 page of camouflage colors and markings for the Temperate, Desert, Day Fighter and Sea schemes; 5) 12 color side aircraft profile illustrations; 6) 1 four-view Hawker Hurricane Mk I a black and white illustration with specifications and 7) 1 four-view Hawker Hurricane Mk II c black and white illustration with specifications.  This book is 80 pages and is in new condition.  The author is Ron MacKay with Don Greer (colorist) along with Ernesto Cumpian and David W. Smith (illustrations).  Edition published in 1998.
