The Iljusin Il-10 which was known throughout the NATO countries as the "Beast" was a Soviet single engine ground attack aircraft developed towards the end of World War II. It was developed from the successful Ilyushin Il-2 and was licensed built in Czechoslovakia by Avia as the Avia B-33. It was introduced into World War II combat in January, 1945 and was produced up through 1954. The Il-10 and its licensed variant B-33, became a basic ground attack plane of the Warsaw pact ccountries. Czechoslovakia retired its last Avia B-33 in 1962 but some countries including the Peoples Republic Of China used their examples up thorugh 1972. In total 6,166 (4,966 Il-10s + 1,200 B-33s) were produced between 1944 and 1954. This older, out-of-production Il-10 / B-33 was produced in Czechoslovakia during the 1970s and is relatively hard to find. Included in this kit are illustrated instructions and authentic decals for an Il-10 operated by the Soviet Union. The box is in very good condition with some yellowing of the cardboard packaging due to age. Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
