The first generation Chevrolet Impala was introduced by General Motors Corporation in 1958 as a trendy, up-market trim package that could be ordered with the two-door Bel Air coupes and convertibles.  The 1958 Impala came with six taillights that set it apart from the lower trim levels.  The 1958 Impala could be ordered with the following three engines: 1) 235 cu. in.
