V-8.  Transmission options included the following: 1) 2-speed automatic; 2) 3-speed Manual; 3) 4-speed manual and 4) 3-speed automatic.  The 389 cu. in. V-8 engine could be ordered as part of package that included a four-barrel carburetor, dual exhaust, chromed valve covers and air cleaner, seven blade clutch fan, three-speed floor mounted Hurst shifter, stiffer springs, larger front sway bar, wider wheels with redwall tires, hood scoops and GTO badges.  The Pontiac GTO was one of the first "muscle cars" and gained a solid reputation as a high performance "street machine" that could compete on equal footing with any other contemporary high performance vehicle.  This Johnny Lightning - 1964 Pontiac GTO scaled model includes the following features: 1) Chrome parts; 2) Clear plastic window glass and headlamps; 3) Detailed V-8 engine; 4) Detailed interior; 5) Diecast miniature replica of scaled model; 6) Floor mounted Hurst shift lever; 7) Hood can be displayed in the closed or open position; 9) Blackwall vinyl tires and 10) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in new condition.  Never started and factory sealed.
