 The 1969 Pontiac Firebird was built in the last year of the first generation of this pony car manufactured beginning with the 1967 model year.  The 1969 Firebird came either as a two-door convertible or hardtop body style.  The engine options were as follows: 1) 230cu. in. OHC I-6; 2) 326 cu. in. V-8; 3) 350 cu. in. V-8 or 4) 400 cu. in. V-8.  The 1969 model received a major facelift that included a new front-end "Endura" bumper design that housed the headlights and grilles.  Inside, the 1969 Firebird had a revised instrument panel that included moving the ignition switch to the steering column as part of an "anti-theft" security system.  The 1969 Firebird could also be ordered with a "Trans Am Performance and Appearance Package" that included a rear spoiler.  Overall, the 1969 Firebird could be distinguished from its corporate cousin, the Camaro, in that it had four round headlights versus two larger ones for the Chevrolet vehicle.  This Johnny Lightning - 1969 Pontiac Firebird includes the following features: 1) Chrome parts; 2) Clear plastic window glass and headlamps; 3) Detailed engine compartment; 4) Diecast miniature replica of the scaled model; 5) Detailed interior; 6) Hood can be displayed in the closed or open position; 7) Hood includes air intake scopes; 8) Redwall vinyl tires and 9) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in new condition.  Never opened and factory sealed.
