The Junkers Ju 87B "Stuka" was an awkward looking aircraft that was also slow and poorly armed. That said, it was a dreaded dive-bombing weapon that was a major factor in the German Army's early "Blitzkreig" attacks in Poland, France and the low countries. The Ju 87 was first utilized in the Spanish Civil War during the mid 1930's and it was here where the technique of dive bombers leading an armored attack on opposing forces was first developed. The Ju 87 was also effectively used against British shipping in the English Channel but when they were sent over Southern England during the Battle Of Britain suffered hugh losses which forced the Luftwaffe to withdraw them from battle. They were, however, effectively used later in the Balkans, Greek and Russian campaigns. This older, out-of-production Ju 87 B "Stuka" kit comes with authentic markings for the following three aircraft: 1) 2/Trop 4/St. G. 2 "Immelmann", Libya, 1941; 2) Gruppe Stuka Geschwader Z "Immelmann" Eastern Front, 1943 and 3) 2/Trop. 1./St. G 1, Libya, 1941. Also included with this model are the following: 1) An external bomb; 2) A color paint guide and 3) Illustrated assembly instructions. The box is in very good condition. Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
