The first all-German tank to be manufactured since 1945, the Leopard succeeded in combining firepower, mobility and protection.  The Leopard's primary offensive weapon is the British 105 mm gun used in the Centurion and it can be fitted with an infrared searchlight for night operations as well.  A co-axial 7.62 mm machine gun is mounted on the turret while a second gun can be fixed on the turret roof.  The Leopard is also equipped with eight smoke discharges.  The 37.4-liter multi-fuel engine gives the Leopard a top speed of 40 mph and a range of just under 400 miles.  At the time this model was originally produced, approximately 2,000 Leopards had been manufactured and were equipping the armies of Belgium, Germany, Holland and Norway.  The Leopard weighs 40 tons and is an overall length including the gun of 31 feet 4 inches.  This older Leopard Tank scaled model includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for a Leopard as operated by the post World War II West German Army; 2) co-axial 7.62 mm machine gun; 3) Detailed Chassis; 4) Detailed hull with separate hatch covers; 5) Molded in olive drab colored plastic; 6) Swiveling turret; 7) Vinyl  one piece black colored tracks and 8) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in good condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
