This postcard depicts the M/S "Stockholm" as originally launched in 1948 at anchor in an undisclosed harbor with multi-story buildings and at least seven cargo loading cranes in the background on a dock.  This postcard has many different shades of blue, gray and green.  The M/S "Stockholm" was originally built to sail between Gothenburg, New York & Canada.  This ship became infamous in 1956 as the vessel that rammed into the Italian ocean liner Andrea Doria precipitating its sinking in a matter of hours.  The M/S "Stockholm" continued operating under this name until it was renamed VEB Deutsche Seereederei in 1960.  This postcard was printed in Sweden and is identified as 41:11. 200.000 3. 49 1554.  This postcard contains no writing, is free of noticeable stains or marks and is in overall excellent condition.
