The Macchi C. 200 Saetta (Lightning) was a single engine, single seat monoplane fighter aircraft built by Aeronautica Macchi for the Italian Air Force during World War II.  In total, almost 1,200 M.C. 200s of all variants were produced before production was halted.  The operational characteristics of the M.C. 200 are as follows: 1) Top speed of just over 300 m.p.h. at altitude; 2) Combat range of about 350 miles and 3) Service Ceiling of approximately 29,000 feet.  The M.C. 200's armament consisted of two 12.7 mm machine guns and some variants were equipped to carry up to eight 33 lb. bombs on external wing mounted hard points.  This older, Macchi M.C. 200 model is molded in light gray plastic and includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for an aircraft as operated by the Regia Aeronautica during World War II; 2) Clear plastic canopy; 3) Clear plastic display stand; 4) Pilot figure; 5) Painting guide and 6) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in acceptable condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
