The movie, Malta Story, centers on an Allied World War I photographer named Peter Ross who is forced to land during a mission on the Mediterranean island of Malta.  Once there he finds himself attached to a local regiment and while studying aerial photographs he discovers that Italy is preparing to invade Malta.  Since it is vitally important to the Allied war effort in the Mediterranean Sea to maintain control of this island fortress, Peter is selected to trace and ultimately help destroy the invading Axis convoy.  This older film will definitely be of interest to both World War II history fans, as well as, anyone interested in vintage shots of flying Capronis, Hurricanes and Spitfires.  Note: this Region-2 dvd disc can only be played by a PAL compatible unit.  PAL compatible units are currently in use in Europe, Greenland, Japan, the Middle East and South Africa.  Starring Alec Guinness, Jack Hawkins and Anthony Steel among others.  Full screen in black and white.  Released in 1953.  Runtime 98 minutes.
