The "Maultier" Opel. Sd.Kfz.4 was a purpose built half-track vehicle meant to convey ammunition, food, medicine and water to tank crews operating under battlefield conditions.  The nickname of "Maultier" translates roughly into mule which was an apt description of this vehicles capabilities.  These vehicles received none of the glory of the German tanks that spearheaded their Blitzkreig or "Lightning War" that sweept across Europe beginning in September, 1939.  Nevertheless, the"Maultier" Opel Sd.Kfz.4 was capable of carrying large loads of cargo cross-country at speeds sufficient to allow them to keep up with the rapidly advancing tank forces.  This kit is beautifully molded in dark gray plastic and includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for a vehicle operated by German Panzertruppe forces during World War II; 2) Clear plastic windshield; 3) Detail chasis; 4) Flexible black vinyl treads; 5) Fuel drums as cargo; 6) Full interior detail; 7) Three soldiers molded in green plastic and capable of being posed in almost any position and 8) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in excellent condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
