The Mayflower, the vessel that carried the Pilgrim Fathers from Plymouth England to New England in 1620 was an ordinary small merchant sailing ship of the period.  Little detail is known of this ship except that it was ninety feet long and weighed about 180 tons.  On its 67 day epic voyage to New England, the Mayflower carried a crew of twenty sailors and 102 passengers.  The Mayflower was subsequently sailed from America back to England but was stated to be “in ruins” upon her arrival.  The subsequent fate of this historic ship is not known.  This old Mayflower (Series 1) kit, was part of Airfix’s  “Historical Ships” line of small scaled models and includes the following features: 1) Authentic flags; 2) Detailed display stand; 3) Detailed sails; 4) Molded in white colored plastic; 5) Separately molded lifeboat; 6) Color painting guide and 7) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The package is in Very Good condition but the plastic display window has discolored due to age.  Never Started and factory sealed.
