Almost 900 of the two jet engine straight-wing Banshees were produced and served all through the 1950s with Navy and Marine squadrons.  In addition to the successful fighter bomber versions, a special reconnaissance F2H-2P version was used to provide a majority of the aerial photographs annalized by the Far East Air Forces in Korea.  This older, out-of-production McDonnell F2H Banshee MPC "Golden Opportunity Kit" includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for a McDonnell F2H Banshee flown by the United State Naval squadron VF-22 also known as the "Red Rippers"; 2) Clear plastic canopy; 3) Detailed landing gear; 4) Parts included for F2H-2 or 2P reconnaissance versions; 5) Pilot figure; 6) Recessed panel lines; 7) Underwing missiles and bombs; 8) Wingtip tanks and 9) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in like-new condition.  Never started and factory sealed.
