The book, Me 109, chronicles the development and use of the legendary Messerschmitt Me 109 by the German Luftwaffe from its first flight in 1935 through the end of World War II in Europe in May, 91945. While technologically superior in the mid 1930s its basic design managed to evolve through the war such that it could stilll fly and fight on even terms with the best fighters produced by the Allies through wars end.
