The Messerschmitt B.f.-108 "Taifun" (Typhoon) was a four seat, single engine monoplane initially designed in 1933 well before the outbreak of World War II in September 1939.  The Bavarian Aircraft Works commenced the manufacturing of metal covered aircraft with the B.f. 108.  The B.f. 108 was entered in an air race in Europe in 1934 and while it did not win, it put the Bavarian Aircraft Works and Willy Messerschmitt on the map as far as a successful small single engine aircraft manufacturer and designer.  The definitive B.f. 108 was the "B" variant, which was powered by a 240 horsepower Argus engine.  Many celebrated pilots including Rudolf Hess actively flew this aircraft in the years leading up to World War II.  The B.f. 108 B first saw military service during the Spanish Civil War where the celebrated "Condor Legion" utilized it as a liaison and transport aircraft.  A total of 885 B.F. 108s were manufactured in German factories before production ceased at the end of World War II.  This older 36 piece B.F. 108 B "Taifun" scaled model includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for two different B.F. 108 B aircraft; 2) Clear plastic multi-piece canopy; 3) Detailed cockpit; 4) Molded in gray colored plastic; 5) Recessed panel lines; 6) Spinning propeller; 7) Painting guide and 8) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in very good condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
