The book, Messerschmitt Bf 109 B, C, D, E In Luftwaffe & Foreign Service (No. 39, Vol. 1) is part of the Arco-Aircam Aviation Series of publications dedicated to reviewing each famous aircraft with documented black and white vintage photographs, color side view illustrations and color aircraft unit insignia.  The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was a German single engine, single seat, monoplane fighter flown by the Luftwaffe and other axis air forces from the beginning or World War II in September 1939 until the German capitulation in May 1945.  The Bf 109 B, C, D and E models of this famed fighter were flown from the Spanish Civil War up though the middle of World War II when these versions were replaced by the F, G and K models.  This book tells the interesting story of what was one of the most mass produced fighter aircraft of World War II.  In addition to an informative six page narrative history of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 B, C, D and E variants, this book includes the following features: 1) Approximately 59 black and white vintage photographs; 2) 2 black and white illustrations; 3) 48 color side view illustrations; 4) 1 page of unit commander insignia markings and 5) 18 pages of black and white aircraft illustrations including unit markings and painting guides.  This book is sure to appeal to aircraft historians and modelers alike.  This book is 48 pages and is in very good condition.  The author is Francis K. Mason with Richard Ward (illustrations).  Edition published in 1973.
