Adolf Galland was one of Germany's most famous World War II aces.  As with many early World War II Luftwaffe aces, Adolf Galland started his aviation career by flying unpowered gliders.  In 1933 he joined the still secret German Luftwaffe and went to Italy to gain vital training.  When the Spainish Civil War broke out in in the 1930s, Adolf Galland volunteered to join the German Condor Legion at first flying Heinkel He-51 biplanes and later the new Messerswchmitt Bf-109 B.  Adolf Galland rose up through the ranks first as  Wing Commander and eventually General of Fighters.  Adolf Galland transitioned to Bf-109 Es ( the subject of this model kit) and eventually flew virtually every Messerschmitt variant including, towards the end of the war, the Messerschmitt Me-263 twin jet fighter.  He ended the war with 104 kills and went on to help Argentina form a modern air force in the late 1940s.  This Messerscmitt Bf-109 E "Galland" kit is an exact scaled and detailed replica of the fighter he flew during the Battle of Britain.  Included in this kit are illustrated assembly instructions, steel stencils and authentic German markings for a fighter flown by Adolf Galland.  Also included in this package are the following aftermarket accessories: 1) Airwaves Bf-109 E 3-8 panels; 2) FM Detail Sets Daimler Benz DB 601 engine; 3) KMC Bf 109 E-4 / 7 control surfaces; 4) Squadron crystal clear canopy and 5) Fast Frames canopy framing system.  The box is in excellent condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
