The Mitsubishi Ki-46 was a two man, twin-engined reconnaissance airplane used by the Japanese Imperial Army during World War II.  The Japanese Army designated it the Type 100 while the Allies gave it the name "Dinah".  The "Dinah" was first used by the Japanese Army in China and Burma, as well as, occassionally by the Japanese Imperial Navy in certain reconnaissance missions in the Pacific Ocean combat theater.  Late in the war it was also armed with twin 20 mm cannons in the nose and one upward firing 37 mm cannon in the fuselage and used as a Home Island defense fighter deployed to combat the ever increasing Allied B-29 bombing missions over Japan.  The "Dinah" was introduced in 1941 and was retired in 1945.  In all approximately 1,750 "Dinahs" of all variants were produced during World War II.  The "Dinahs" top speed and range was 375 m.p.h. and  approximately 2,500 miles respectively.  This older Ki-46 model is molded in light gray plastic and includes the following features: 1)  Authentic markings for a Ki-46 Dinah operated by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force during World War II; 2) Engine Detail; 3) Multi-piece clear cockpit and fuselage glass areas; 4) Recessed panel lines; 5) Two pilot figures; 6) Paint guide and 7) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in excellent condition.   Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
