The Mitsubishi Type 1 Rikko "Betty" (G4M) was the most produced World War II Japanese Bomber and saw action on every front from the first day of the Pacific conflict through to V.J. Day. The G4M's long range capabilities made it a "key" weapon during the first year of World War II but as the Allies gradually gained local air superiority, the G4Ms weaknesses including a lack of protective armor and self-sealing fuel tanks became quite evident. This older, out-of-production Mitsubishi Type-1-II Attack Bomber (Series 13) is molded in dark green plastic and includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for an aircraft operated by the Japanese Imperial Navy during World War II; 2) Clear canopy and glass areas and 3) Illustrated assembly instructions. In addition to the aircraft model, this kit includes the following items molded in tan plastic: 1) Anti-aircraft quad cannon artillery piece; 2) Anti-aircraft larger caliber single cannon artillery piece 3) Anti-aircraft search light and 4) Fuel Drums. These additional items are great as natural compliments to the aircraft if one is constructing a World War II airfield diorama. The box is in very good condition with a small tear on one side. Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
