The classic movie Moby Dick is based on Herman Melville's novel written well over a hundred years ago.  It is a tale of Ahab, the one-legged sea captain who is consumed by the drive to kill a great white whale called Moby Dick.  Ahab is a possesed madman, stumpping his ship's deck as though he were riding the winds of hell in his manical hunt for the crafty old killer that earlier had chewed off his leg.  His journey thorugh stormy seas, an attempted mutiny and ultimately the destruction of his beloved ship, take him on an adventure that is nothing short of "awesome".  In the end, Moby Dick is a story of the relentless battle between the infinite forces of nature and the brave but doomed "mortality" of man.  Starring Gregory Peck, Richard Basehart and Leo Genn among others.  Fullscreen in color.  Released in 1956.  Runtime 116 minutes.
