The Morane 406 was a French Armee de l'Air fighter aircraft built starting in 1938.  In terms of numbers, it was France's most important fighter during the opening stages of World War II in the Fall of 1939 but was underpowered, weakly armed and lacked full armour protection when compared to its contemporaries.  While it held its own early on, by the time Germany invaded France in May, 1940, it was hopelessly outclassed by the Luftwaffe's Bf-109E.  The type proved to be more successful in the hands of the Swiss and Finnish air forces who went on to develop their own indigenous models.  This older, out-of-production model from the 1960s of the Morane 406 is an all plastic, advanced ready-to-assemble kit designed for collectors of authentic scale minatures.  Included in this model are the following: 1) Superbly detailed operational parts such as landing gear, control surfaces and canopies; 2) Authentic markings for a French unit operating this type during World War II and 3) Easy-to-follow assembly instructions and painting information. The box is in excellent condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
