The movie, Mosquito Squadron, centers on two British, R.A.F. fighter / bomber pilots who having grown up together and who are now flying in the same fighter squadron. When one of the pilots seemingly dies during one of their missions, the survivor develops a relationship with his "dead" friends wife. While the plot moves through twists and turns the ending to the movie is somewhat of a surprise. This aviation film is memorable for its superb footage of the British R.A.F. Mosquito Fighter / bomber in action. Anyone interested in aviation can foregive the romantic aspects of the movie due to the many flying sequences featuring one of Britain's most famous World War II era aircraft. The final sequence of Mosquito Squadron has also been cited as having an influence on George Lucas' Death Star film sequences in the original Star Wars movie. Starring David McCallum, Suzanne Neve and Charles GRay among others. Widescreen in color. Released in 1970. Runtime 90 minutes.
