The Nakajima Ki-27 Type 97 (Nate) Japanese Army Air Force fighter represented the first generation of Japanese designed monoplane fighter aircraft.  This design was used in China in the 1930s but was phased out of frontline service in the Pacific Theater of combat just prior to the formal start of World War II against the United States in December 1941.  This Nakajima Ki-27 Type 97 Fighter (Nate) '246th Hiko Sentai' scaled model includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for two different Nakajima Ki-27 aircraft: A) Ki-27 Otsu Manchukuo Air Force & B) Ki-27 Otsu 2nd Chutai, 246th Hiko Sentai, Kakogawa AB (Hyogo) 1943; 2) Clear plastic canopy; 3) Detailed cockpit; 4) Detailed Engine; 5) Molded in medium gray colored plastic; 6) Recessed panel lines; 7) Rivet detail and 8) Painting guide.  Note: this kit does not contain the factory supplied assembly instructions.  The box is in new condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
