The Nalajima Ki-49 Donryu (Allied code name Helen) was a twin-engine, mid-wing, all-metal monoplane constructed medium bomber built for use by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force during World War II.  The Nakajima Ki-49 was introduced in 1941 and before it was retired at the end of World War II, just over 800 units of all variants had been produced.  The Ki-49 typically carried a crew of eight and had the following operational characteristics: 1) Top speed of just over 300 m.p.h.; 2) Combat range of approximately 1,800 miles and 3) Service ceiling of almost 31,000 feet.  The Ki-49 carried defensive armament consisting of one 20 mm cannon and five 7.7 mm machine guns, as well as, an offensive useful bombload of about 2,200 lbs.  This older, out-of-production, Nakajima Ki-49 Donryu (Helen) model is molded in gray plastic and includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for a Ki-49 operated by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force during World War II; 2) Bombs; 3) Clear cockpit and fuselage glass areas; 4) Detailed cockpit; 5) Detailed landing gear; 6) Flexible machine gun; 7)  Recessed panel lines and rivet detail; 8) Paint guide and 9) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in excellent condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
