The movie, Night of the Fox, is based on the Jack Higgens best selling novel of the same name.  In the days leading up to the Allied invasion of France on June 6, 1944, an American Colonel with knowledge of the impending landings on D-day washes up on the shore of Jersey Island which is conrtolled by the Nazis.  Fearful that this colonel may fall into the hands of the German Gestapo and reveal what he knows of the upcoming D-day landings, two Allied agents, one dressed as a German SS officer, are landed secretly on the island to either rescue or kill the American Colonel before he can divulge his secret.  Unbeknownst to the Americans, an imposter playing the role of German Field Marshal Erwin Rommel is sent to Jersey to inspect the German troops.  This imposter has been sent there so that the real Rommel can meet with the conspirators who are planning to kill none other than Adolf Hitler.  As a war-torn world explodes around them, these three daring imposters risk their lives with every tick of the clock.  Their first slip-up could be their last.  Starring George Peppard, Deborah Raffin and Michael York among others.  Full screen in color.  Release in 1990.  Runtime 95 minutes.
