The movie, No Highway In The Sky is based on Nevil Shute's popular novel "No Highway" and is a gripping, suspense-packed classic film about one man's fight to prevent a disaster in the air.  The plot of "No Highway In The Sky" centers on an eccentric scientist named Theodore Honey who believes, despite having no proof other than his mathematical calculations, that England's new "Reindeer" passenger airliner will fall apart after it reaches 1,440 hours of flying time.  When by chance he finds himself on a Reindeer passenger airliner that has reached the critical stress point, his frantic warnings go unheeded accept by a movie star passenger and a stewardess who eventually support his drastic action to permanently ground the aircraft.  Although the plot of "No Highway In The Sky" is weaved around a fictional aircraft, the story is still believable in this behind the scenes commercial aviation action-packed drama.  Starring James Stewart, Marlene Dietrich and Jack Hawkins among others.  Full screen in black and white.
