The movie, No Man Of Her Own, is a classic romantic comedy wrapped around the story of a charming big-city swindler and a small-town girl. Babe Stewart is a high priced con man who, after a sour deal in New York, decides to lie low in a small rural town. He soon meets a beautiful librarian consumed with the desire of changing her life for the better and moving to the big city. The librarian sees Babe as her ticket to a new life and with the toss of a coin they decide to get married and move back to the big city. Unknown to the new bride, Babe has a three-month jail sentence awaiting him. The laughs flow and things get interesting as he tries to hide his secret by tricking her into believing he is away from her on a business trip to South America. This is the only movie where future husband and wife Clark Gable and Carole Lombard every worked together on and is sure to please anyone interested in classics romantic comedy films.
