The famed P-40 Army Air Corps fighter was one of the first high performance U.S.  monoplane fighters and was designed in the mid-1930s.  It went on to be operated  by many of the Allied air arms including the R.A.F. and the AVG Flying Tigers  which served the Chinese Nationalists forces operting out of Burma prior to the U.S. entry into the war in late 1941.  This large highly detailed kit of the P-40 B/C variant was on hand and made famous as one of the few fighters to rise and take on the Japanese Naval forces attacking Pearl Harbor.  Authentic decals included for two aircraft: 1) 15P-23 flown by Army Air Corps Lt. George Welch and 2) 15P-27 flown by Army Air Corps Lt. Kenneth Taylor.  Never started and factory sealed.
