With their fierce shark mouth aircraft and skillful flying tactics the "Flying Tigers" under General Claire Chennault took a heavy toll of Japanese aircraft during World War II.  The American Volunteer Group (AVG) pilots later were incorporated into the 23rd Fighter Group of the United States Air Force in the China-Burma-India combat theaters.  The P-40 was the first mass produced fighter during World War II and it was the subject of extensive development throughout this conflict.  This older, out-of-production P-40 E Flying Tiger model includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for an aircraft operated by the AVG during the China-Burma-India combat theater; 2) Belly tank; 3) Clear, sliding canopy; 4) Detailed cockpit; 5) Detaied engine; 6) Movable control surfaces; 7) Recessed panel lines; 8) Rotating propeller and wheels; 9) Painting guide and 10) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in like-new condition.     Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
