The P-47 D Razorback, Thunderbolt fighter was the most heavily armed single engine fighter produced by the United States in World War II.  It was armed with eight .50 caliber machine guns, two 500 lb bombs and six rocket-launching tubes.  The Thunderbolt was initially deployed to England in 1943 and was known as a rugged fighter aircraft that could provide longer-range escort to American bombers than most contemporary fighters of the day.  Eventually, the P-47s were used as fighter-bombers allowing the even longer range P-51 Mustang to take over escorting most United States bomber missions.  Included in this Special Limited Edition kit are: 1) A detailed pilot figure; 2) Two-piece clear canopy; 3) Separately molded clear armored glass pane and 4) Authentic markings for either 42-25836 coded HV-M with Pengie III nose art or 42-76179 coded HV-V with Little Chief artwork.  The box is in like-new condition.  Never started and factory sealed.
