The North American P-51 B Mustang was a single engine, single seat American fighter deployed for combat to England during World War II in 1943. This fighter had a "fastback" canopy and carried four .50 caliber machine guns and external hardpoints for bombs and extended range fuel tank. The P-51 B was used by a number of Allied Air Forces including the Royal Air Force, as well as, the United States Army Air Corps. This older P-51 B Mustang scaled model was part of Monogram's Mini Masterpieces line of World War II era military aircraft and included the following features: 1) Authentic markings for a P-51 B as operated by the United States Army Air Corps in World War II; 2) Clear multi-piece canopy; 3) Detailed cockpit; 4) Detailed landing gear; 5) Includes two externally mounted bombs; 6) Molded in olive drab colored plastic; 7) Pilot figure; 8) Recessed panel lines; 9) Painting guide and 10) Illustrated assembly instructions.
