The P-51A was the last of the Allison powered Mustangs.  This was an improvement, however, over the P-51 in that it incorporated the improved performance of the 1,200 horsepower Allison V 1710-81 in-line engine.  A pair of .50 caliber machine guns replaced the .30 caliber guns installed in the P-51 and the chin-mounted .50s of the P-51 were removed.  In addition, low drag wing racks were added to the P-51A.  This kit features 60 detailed parts molded in gray plastic, finely recessed panel lines, optional tires (weighted and unweighted), clear canopy, authentic decals and accurate instructions.  Also included with this kit is a Squadron crystal clear canopy and a True Details P-51 and A-36 Cockpit detail set.  The box is in very good condition with some wear effident on the corners of the box.   Never started and is 100% inventoried with all parts, decals and instructions.
