 The L-4 H was the military version of the famous Piper Cub light sport and utility single engine, high wing aircraft.  The L-4 was used primarily by the Armies of the United States and its Allies during World War II for liaison and observation duties.  The L-4 H which is the subject of this model includes lashed-on bazookas which was a field modification made to give this liaison variant a ground attack capability.  This highly detailed Piper Cub L-4 H model includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for a single United States Army aircraft, Serial Number 43-30426, "Rosie the Rocketer" in Olive Drab over Neutral Gray, flown by Major "Bazooka Charlie" Carpenter, 4th Armored Division and includes period invasion stripes; 2) 6 strut mounted bazooka rocket tubes; 3) Clear plastic cockpit glass areas with canopy masks; 4) Choice of two types of rear seat; 5) Detailed cockpit; 6) Detailed engine; 7) Detailed fabric surface texture; 8) Plastic rigging filament; 9) Photo-etched parts including access window frame, aileron control horns, fuselage access doors, radio aerial masts and windscreen frame 10) Separately molded ailerons, rudder and starboard boarding door; 11) Wheel masks; 12) Painting guide in color and 13) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in new condition.  Never started and factory sealed.
