The Piper Super Cub was first introduced in 1949 and holds the record for production life for a tandem two-seater light aircraft.  The P-18 A was designed for crop dusting while models L-18 and L-21 were constructed for military use as observation airplanes in Southeast Asia.  The Super Cub represented a more powerful airplane than previous Piper models of this type and came with engines up to 150 horsepower.  While the Piper Super Cub was not a particularly fast airplane, it was reliable and ideally suited for the private sport pilot.  The Piper Super Cub could carry two people in tandem seating and when powered by the 150 horsepower engine could achieve the following operational characteristics: 1) Top Speed 130 mpg; 2) Range 500 miles and Service ceiling 19,000 feet.  This older, out-of-production Piper Super Cub PA-18-135 (Weekend Wings Series) scaled model includes the following features: 1) Authentic serial numbers and graphics; 2) Clear plastic cockpit "glass" areas; 3) Detailed cockpit; 4) Detailed engine; 5) Display stand molded in black colored plastic; 6) Four multi-position figures molded in salmon colored plastic; 7) Molded in white colored plastic; 8) Recessed panel lines; 9) Simulated fabric covering; 10) Painting guide and 11) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in like-new condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
