The movie, Planet Of The Apes, is actually an updated version of the earlier classic film starring Charlton Heston and focused on an astronaut accindentally crash landing his spaceship on a planet ruled by apes who both talk and walk erect.  The plot centers on astronaut Leo Davidson who after crash landing his spaceship on a strange planet finds himslef trapped in a savage world where talking apes dominate the human race.  Desperate to find a way home, Leo must evade an invincible gorilla army led by General Thade and his most trusted and ruthless warrior, Attar.  Now in a race against time, Leo must evade the gorilla army in order to reach a sacred temple that may hold the shocking secrets of mankind's past and his possible escape.  Starring Mark Wahlber, Tim Roth and Helena Bonham Carter among others.  Full screen in color.  Released in 2001.  Runtime 124 minutes.
