The movie, Prisoner Of Honor, takes place in 19th century France and centers on a French Army officer named George Picquart. Picquart has been named the new head of Counter-Intelligence and given the mission of restoring public faith in the country after the shameful Dreyfus scandal. In a series of flashbacks, the sordid tale of how French Captain Alfred Dreyfus was accussed and found guilty of trying to sell military secrets to the Germans is revealed. A number of years later, Picquart is asked to investigate the events surrounding the Dreyfess scandal. When he discovers that Captain Dreyfess was innocent of the charges and that a guilty man is roaming free, he makes it his mission to set the record stright even if it means the end of his own military career.
