The Curtiss Shrike was the United States Army Air Corp's first all metal, single engine monoplane attack aircraft and was deployed starting in 1933. It carried 4 Browning .30 claiber machine guns and could carry up to ten 30 pound bombs. While not built in large numbers, it was in many ways, a transitional airplane design that was finally removed from active service in 1942. The book, Profile Publications: The Curtiss Shrike (Number 128), includes 29 vintage black and white photographs and 8 color aircraft profiles. This book is 12 pages and is in very good condition with a slight tear on the bottom portion of the spine. Edition published in 1966.
