The book, Remembering The Forgotten War - Korea: 1950 - 1953, tells the story of American involvement in what many have referred to as a "police action".  The Korean War in fact began on June 25, 1950 when North Korean Troops invaded South Korea beginning a brutal three-year confrontation often referred to as the "Forgotten War".  As wars go, the Korean War was relatively short in duration and ended not with a victory for Allied United Nations forces but rather as an armistice.  Perhaps this helps to explain why, in historic terms, little attention has been paid to a conflict that resulted in thousands of American deaths.  This book was put together on the 50th anniversary of the start of the Korean War and represents a collection of firsthand experiences of various servicemen during the war.  It also reflects simple expressions of thanks for those who served and truly represents a tribute to the veterans of the Korean War.  The major sections of this book are as follows: 1) Introduction; 2) Wartime Accounts; 3) Honoring Family and Friends; 4) Military Life in Korea; 5) An End to War; 6) Appendix: The United Nations Command in the Korean War and 7) Index of Contributors.  In addition to an informative narrative, "Remembering The Forgotten War - Korea: 1950 - 1953" includes approximately 80 black and white photographs.  This book is 152 pages and is in like-new condition.  Many contributors noted in the last section of this book.  Edition published in 2000.
