The documentary, Riding The Rails, is a film that focuses on one of the most beautiful steam locomotives ever built in America, the 4449 Daylight.  This documentary takes the viewer back to an era when you could buy a candy bar for a nickel, gasoline cost a quarter and America rode the rails behind giant, steam-powered locomotives.  Now you can relieve, if only briefly, this glorious age.  You will hear the whistle from inside the cab with the engineer and fireman while the locomotive's wheels forge through remote snow-capped mountain ranges across the American West.  With the smoke stack erupting large clouds of steam into the cool mountain air the viewer will certainly marvel at the power and beauty of this monster of a train engine.  This documentary is definitely recommended for anyone interested in trains and their role in American history.  Full screen in color.  Released in 1993.  Runtime 30 minutes.
