The Ryan XF2R-1 Dark Shark was an experimental dual powered (pistine and turbine) fighter derived from the FR-1 Fireball utilized in small numbers by the post World War II United States Navy.  This Ryan XF2R-1 Dark Shark model includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for both a prototype fighter and conjectural schemed aircraft; 2) Clear plastic canopy; 3) Detailed cockpit; 4) Detailed landing gear and wheel wells; 5) Recessed panel lines and 6) Illustrated assembly instructions. The box is in mint condition.  Never started and factory sealed.
