The SAAB 37 Viggen was a Swedish jet fighter aircraft developed and produced by SAAB AB. The Viggen was unique in that it coupled a delta plan form with canard forward wings which, when coupled with a reversing thrust system, allowed the aircraft to land and take-off in a relatively short distance. The Viggen was produced in the following five main variants: 1) AJ-37 (Attack version secondary); 2) SK 37 (School version); 3) SH 37 (Reconnaissance Marine monitoring; 4) SF 37 (Reconnaissance photo) and 5) JA 37 (Hunting version with secondary attack capability). This Mach 2.0+ jet fighter first flew in 1967 and served the Swedish Air Force from 1972 to 2005. This older, out-of-production SAAB JA 37 Jaktviggen includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for an aircraft operated by the Swedish Air Force; 2) Clear canopy that can be configured in a closed or open position; 3) Fire control in transparent plastic; 4) Fully detailed cockpit; 5) Weapons system including two Sidewinder missiles, Two Sky Flashes and one 30 mm Oerlikon cannon and 6) Illustrated assembly instructions. The box is in excellent condition. Never started and factory sealed.
