The book, SB2C Helldiver In Action represents a pictorial study of the carrier based Curtiss-Wright SB2C dive-bomber, which first entered service in the United States Navy in late 1943.  The SB2C Helldiver replaced the Douglas SBD Dauntless used earlier with some success against the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II.  While the SB2C Helldiver was a very large piston engine aircraft, it was actually much faster than the SBD Dauntless.  The SB2C Helldiver was flown the last two years of World War II.  While the SB2C was retired from use by the United States Navy before the Korean War, it soldiered on with the French, Italian and Royal Thai Air Forces into the 1950s.  The major sections of "SB2C Helldiver In Action (# 54)" are as follows: 1) Introduction; 2) SB2C-1; 3) Into Combat; 4) A-25 A Shrike; 5) SB2C-1L; 6) Helldiver's into Action; 7) XSB2C-2; 8) SB2C-3; 9) SB2C-4; 10) SB2C-5; 11) XSB2C-6 and 12) XSB3C-1.  In addition to an informative narrative, "SB2C Helldiver In Action (# 54)" includes the following features: 1) Approximately 117 black and white photographs; 2) About 52 black and white illustrations; 3) 5 color illustrations; 4) 10 color side aircraft profile illustrations; 5) 1 three-view SB2C-3 black and white illustration with specifications and 6) 3 color cover paintings.  This book is 50 pages and is in very good condition.  The author is Robert Stern with Don Greer (illustrations).  Edition published in 1982.
