This SU-85 used by the soviet Army during World War II is an assault gun still in use in a number of other Communist countries.  in essence the Su-85 is built on a T-34 tank chassis with a modified hull and no turret, the 85 mm gun being mounted in a large oval mount in the front of the vehicle. The SU-85 is in fact considered mobile artillery and is typically used in conjunction with tanks in any armored advance into enemy positions.  This kit is complete with electric motor and gear train and only requires the addtion of 2 penlight batteries (not included) to operate.
