The movie, Santee, tells the tale of a western bounty hunter that is kind of half lawman and half desperado.  Santee's mission is to track down outlaws with high prices on their heads and deliver them dead or alive to the local county sheriff where he collects the bounty on them.  Santee's prey includes the Justin Deake gang who he tracks down and after a gun fight kills all of them but spares Jody the outlaw leader's teenage son.  While Jody vows vengance over the death of his father, he follows Santee back to his ranch where Santee's wife Valerie and foreman John Crow grow to treat the down and out teenager almost like a son.  Eventually Santee begins to accept Jody as a son and even goes so far as teaching him his own gun tricks.  Santee even promises Valarie that his days as a bounty hunter are over.  After a time at the ranch, Jody learns a dark secret in Santee's past.  Years before, the bounty hunter was savagely beaten by the vicious Banner who also murdered his 10 year old son.  This event is almost out of Santee's mind when the Banner gang rides back into the local town for a fateful confrontation.  The only question that remains is whether or not Santee and Jody will avenge their earlier losses.  Starring Glenn Ford, Dana Wynter and Michael Burns among others.  Full screen in color.  Released in 1973.  Runtime 93 minutes.
