The book, Secret Kehlstein: Adventure Eagle's Nest is a souvenir pictorial publication that chronicles the history of Eagle's Nest, which was built on a mountain top in the Bavarian Alps during the 1930s for the German Dictator Adolf Hitler.  Eagle's Nest, also referred to as the "Tea House", sits atop a mountain peak and has outstanding views of both Southern Germany and Austria.  As a side-note, while Eagle's Nest was completed as a birthday present for Adolf Hitler, he was only documented as visited it 5 to 6 times before his suicide in the Fuhrer bunker in Berlin on April 30, 1945.  The irony of the Eagle's Nest is that Adolf Hitler was known to have a fear of heights, meaning spending time there was probably not one of his favorite activities.  The major sections of "Secret Kehlstein: Adventure Eagle's Nest" are as follows: 1) The rise to power; 2) Seat of Government Obersalzberg; 3) The Kehlstein; 4) Bormann's note-book; 5) The Kehlstein-road; 6) The elevator; 7) Receptions; 8) Burning desire; 9) Flak on the Kehlstein; 10) Secret Kehlstein-house; 11) Air-raid on 25 April 1945; 12) Occupation by the allied forces and 13) The Kehlstein-house today.  In addition to an informative narrative, "Secret Kehlstein: Adventure Eagle's Nest" includes the following features: 1) Approximately 79 black and white vintage photographs; 2) About 21 color photographs; 3) 2 color illustrations; 4) 5 maps; 5) 1 four-page Western panorama from Koenigsee to Kehlsteinhaus and 6) 1 three-page Eastern panorama from Kehlsteinhaus to Salzburg with Obersalzberg area.  This book is 80 pages and is in excellent condition.  The author is Bernhard Frank.  No publication date given.
