The Siebel Si 204 D/E was developed from the earlier A variant as a twin engine, light weight transport aircraft.  Wartime events lead to the further development of the Si 204 D/E for more direct military purposes including freight transport, connecting, sanitary, staff, weather and photographic services.  This variant was also adapted for bomber crew training in part by incorporating more powerful engines.  The Si 204 E incorporated defensive armament and was used by Luftwaffe STAB NSGr. 4 on the eastern front for nighttime nuisance raids.  After the end of World War II, the Si 204 D was produced in Czechoslovakia and France.  The Si 204 D/E had a top speed of 206 m.p.h. and a service ceiling of about 21,000 feet.  This older Siebel Si D/E is molded in light gray plastic and includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for a Siebel Si 204 E as flown by the German Luftwaffe during World War II; 2) Clear plastic cockpit and fuselage glass areas; 3) Detailed landing gear; 4) One bomb; 5) Recessed panel lines and rivet detail; 6) Painting guide in color and 7) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in excellent condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
